Smithsonian Birthday Card

In 2019, the Smithsonian Online Engagement and Fundraising team invited current and prospective donors to sign our birthday card online. This unique project featured flickering candles, a card-opening animation, and instantaneous updates as users’ signatures appeared on the card in real time.

Developed by CKWeb, this cultivation piece showcases an integration of a legacy platform such as Luminate Online with modern tools such as Firebase.
